Optrak: invitation to collaborate

Due to software platform change, Optrak is the the unusual potion of being able to create one or more new optimisation "engines" for general purpose use in its commercial vehicle routing software. Obviously we are faced with a wide variety of different techniques that we could employ.

Such an engine would have to be sufficiently robust to deal with a large number of different problems, although most of our work involves some combination of:

Launching of VRP-REP: the vehicle routing problem repository

We are glad to announce the launch of VRP-REP: the vehicle routing problem repository. As a result of the ever-increasing interest in vehicle routing problems, today VRP data (test instances and solutions) is being produced faster than ever. Since the community lacks a centralized open-to-everybody data repository, researchers typically share their data through their personal or institutional websites. As a result, VRP data is spread all over the Internet in tens (maybe hundreds) of different formats.

VeRoLog Doctoral Dissertation Prize 2015

We are pleased to announce the 2015 edition of the VeRoLog Doctoral Dissertation Prize, open to outstanding dissertation succesfully discussed between January 1 and December 31, 2014.

The jury is chaired by Richard Eglese and includes Geir Hasle and Maria Grazia Speranza.

VeRoLog Solver Challenge 2015

Dear Friends,

following the great success of VSC 2014 as pre annuonced we have the great pleasure to propose you the call for praticipation to the 2015 edition of VeRoLog Solver Challenge.

Also this year VSC is organized in collaboration with PTV and will ask our teams to test their algorithm against a difficult problem arising in the feeding of passengers to hubs through Coaches and Shuttles.
