It is important to promote green transportation in urban areas to provide a better living environment without affecting the mobility of goods and people. This special issue focuses on methodologies to model and deal with recent green transportation problems in urban areas, ranging from system modeling, planning, design, control, and management. The topics include, but not limited to, the following:

The positions are in operations research within the CIRRELT (www.cirrelt.ca) and the department of Operations and Decision Systems of the Faculty of Administration Sciences of Université Laval (Quebec City, Canada). All projects are related to logistics optimization and to distribution problems. Hence, a good understanding of vehicle routing problems and its variants, and of optimization and implementation skills is required. The positions are under the supervision of professors Jean-François Côté and/or Jacques Renaud and/or Leandro C.
