Results of the VeRoLog Doctoral Dissertation Award 2013

The second VeRoLog Doctoral Dissertation Prize for outstanding contribution to the Vehicle Routing and Logistics Optimization field was decerned at VeRoLog 2013 in Southampton on July 8th, 2013.

Seventeen dissertations from twelve countries were submitted, and the jury, chaired by Angel Corberan and composed of Richard Eglese and Frédéric Semet, underlined the qualities of all the submissions.

Two winners were declared :

  • Roberto Roberti (Italy, advisors: A. Mingozzi, P. Toth) - Exact Algorithms for Different Classes of Vehicle Routing Problems
  • Thibaut Vidal (France/Canada, advisors: T. Crainic, M. Gendreau, C. Prins) - General solution approaches for multi-attribute vehicle routing and scheduling problems
